The Health Bar

The Health Bar is a table top RPG made for the 72 hour Ludum Praxi game jam. 

It was made based on the jam theme "Your Health Bar Is More than a Health Bar."

To play you will need the printed document, 3 D6 dice and a pencil or pen. Scissors are optional for cutting out tokens or you can use your own tokens.

Who’d have thunk it? After all these years of living on the frayed edge of society, you’ve finally found a place where you belong. The Health Bar – A quiet, smoothie bar on the outskirts of the outskirts. Boasting a less than ideal location, between the underworld coliseum and the dustbowl, it became a home away from home for a group of ne’er-do-well gladiators. That’s you lot!

Long ago you all entered as strangers. Lonely prize-fighters looking for a place to lick your wounds. Over time you watched each other, fought against and alongside each other, but you always came back here. A little place of calm in a wilderness of chaos.

Now the Peacewatchers want to eradicate the dustbowl and the coliseum. They are coming to burn you out and shut the Health Bar down. But that’s not gonna happen…

Not now that you’ve something worth fighting for!

Your health bar is more than a health bar... It's a home away from home!

The Health Bar is a 'Horde Mode' style basic RPG where you must face off three waves of enemies to protect your beloved smoothie bar! It features:

• A D6 opposed roll system
• 6 Classes with unique powers
• 6 Species with unique movement abilities
• 6 Smoothies that are not only delicious but also help channel your rage against the invaders
• Map included
• Cut out-able tokens
• Hand drawn sketch art

We made this game in a very short time but while developing it we had so many ideas for making it fancier. We hope to work on it further to make it really swish and turn it into a full fledged RPG!

It can be played GM-less with a bit of admin for an action packed romp, but would probably play best with a GM directing the baddies and bringing the world to life.

Either way, it is suitable for 1-6 players but is harder with less players.
